Silence-Pokeumans

I was stretching out, getting ready for another day of training. There was a knock on the door, but I decided to ignore it. Next someone yelled "Mail call" I just grunted a little and started a different stretch. I heard the doorknob jingle and in came a bipedal hippopatas. "Um, hi." it said "I'm Cameron, the messenger here. You must be Sakato." I studied him a little then went strait back to stretching, pretending not to notice him. My plan seemed to work until Cameron said "Anyway, I have a message for you." I immediately perked up. "From Tom or Connor?" I asked quickly. He looked confused "Who? No it's from Ms. Kesley, she says that you'll have an extra training session after dinner today." I just frowned and went back to stretching. "What does she mean by training?" Cameron asked. I just ignored him, hoping he would leave before he asked THAT question. "Who's Connor?" He asked. Great, he asked it. I gave him a glare dark enough to stop a stampeding Ryhorn. "It's none of your business!" I growled angrily. He looked a little worried after I growled at him. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get you upset." I said quietly, "Look, could you please leave me alone?" He frowned, and seemed deep in thought for a second, then said "Um, all right." He put the post card down and turned to leave. "Wait." I said before Cameron left. He turned and I sighed knowing full well I would probably regret this "Do you really want to know?" He nodded "Okay," I said, assuming a sitting position "I'll tell you." He quickly sat down on one of the beds paws on his lap. "You see," I started "Connor is my best friend." He smiled "Cool," He said "is he your roommate?" That struck me hard. I had to clench my teeth to keep from loosing my cool "No, he doesn't even go here. Right now, he's probably in a Pokextinction base" "WHAT!" He yelled "why's that?" I frown, starting to second guess myself. "Well, one day we were playing Pokemon at a sleepover and we went to bed. The next morning we woke up and I saw that he was transforming into a Jolteon, and that I was transforming into a Vaporeon." I started. I was his by his discharge when he awoke. I was immediately knocked out." "Ouch" Cameron said. I chuckled slightly "Yeah, so I was knocked out, and when I woke up were in the back of a truck." He gasped "A Pokextinction truck?" I nodded. "We were rescued though, by a Medicham named Tom and a Scyther." "Then what happened?" he asked eagerly. "We did the only thing we could at that point. We ran." He shuddered at the word run. After a few seconds he shook it off and said "Go on." I started again "Well, we ran for a while until I was tackled by two goons. Tom saved me. But Connor, he....." I was starting to tear at this point. I punched the ground and yelled "IT'S NOT FAIR!" I started to cry, a 15 year old, crying his eyes out. Cameron walked over too me and started to pat me on the back. "Sakato! Um, don't cry please!" Cameron started "But it's my fault!" I cried "If I hadn't been caught, Connor would still be with me! I WASN'T FAST ENOUGH!" He smiled "He sounds like a great friend." I did a slight nod "I need to get him back! That's why I need to challenge the Elite Four to get permission to go search." He looked surprised by that "I have to fight them too! I still hadn't regained my composure. "Hey," He said "if you go search for him, I'll give you my full support!" I smiled slightly "thanks Cameron" "Hey, maybe we could sit together at breakfast?" he asked. I was surprised by this. "Well, Okay" Cameron smiled. "Great, I'll see you there!" I wiped my eyes and nodded, then continued to stretch as he left. I had my first friend since coming to the Long Island Pokeuman base. And after telling my tale, it felt as if a huge burden had been lifted off my shoulders. I finished my stretches and went to get breakfast with my new friend. I walked in and looked for Cameron. I saw him sitting with a Cubone and a Munchlax. When he saw me he smiled, and I smiled back, but looked nervously at the other two. The Cubone looked up, "Oh, hi!" "Umm, Hi." I sat down nervously and started eating. "Guys, this is Sakato." Cameron said. "Hey, I'm Steven, nice to meet you! Oh and this is Trevor." Steven answered while Trevor gave a short wave while scarfing down his food. I shook paws with Steven, or as much as a quadrupled pokeuman could "Yeah, nice to meet you too." I said with a small smile. "So hows it going?" Trevor asked between mouthfuls. "Fine, I guess." I said, no looking at him "Wait, I know you. Aren't you supposed to be the fastest guy in school?" I had to blush at that. Cameron chuckled. "Well, I suppose." I started "Don't be modest!" Steven said "I bet nothing can catch you!" I frowned and looked down. "Yeah.......almost nothing." Cameron looked concerned at that comment. Then I just popped back up smiling "So I'll have to be faster!" Cameron looked a little surprised at that comment. I saw Trevor look up from his food. "So what do you normally do around here?" "Well, I train mostly." I said with a blush. That's was all I ever did. Trevor looked confused "Train?" "Yeah." I nodded "I train so that I can be faster." "Is that all?" asked Steven. "Well, kinda." I said, becoming a red Vaporeon. "What about your friends, don't you ever hang out with them?" ask Trevor. That struck hard, and I could see Cameron knew that. I looked down so no one wood see me tear. Cameron looked at Trevor, shaking his head vigorously. Trevor looked at me and saw he had done something wrong. "Uh oh!" I looked like I when I was in my room earlier, but looked back up "I....I don't really have any friends." I muttered. "Well," Steven said extending his hand again "you can start with us." "Yeah," Cameron smiled "don't forget that you've got me too." Trevor looked at me "Hey, I'm sorry I hurt your feelings, I'll be your friend if you let me." I wiped my eyes "Of course." I said "that would be great." We all kept eating until I broke the silence "You know, I usually never eat at a lunch table with anyone. I just get a tray of something small, eat quickly and then go train." Steven swallowed some food "Really. You seem to train quite a lot." "Yeah," I said "I do it so that........I can be faster in battle." Cameron nodded knowingly. He probably knew that I didn't want Steven or Trevor to know about Connor. I wanted to keep it secret, for now. "Hey, I've got an idea!" Trevor said "How about we come and watch you train?" I was shocked. "Huh? Uh ok, I guess. But Steven and Cameron are weakened from water." Steven and Cameron looked at each other. "Well," Cameron started "I think we'll be fine as long as Steven and I stay away from the pool." I nodded "All right," He said standing up "let's go." We started walking to the pool room until we ran into Scott and his gang. Scott Immediately grabbed Cameron and said "You," he grabbed me by the neck "you're gonna pay for what you and your pals did to me the other day!" Nat and Milton moved forward, giving evil grins. I growled "Yeah, but now he has another pal Scott. Let us pass." Scott dropped Cameron and came over to me "Are you kidding? A water type can't beat me!" Scott said grinning down at Nathan. I just smirked "Really? Asula seems to beat you enough." I said. Scott growled, raising his fist "Why you little..." I moved behind him in a split second and shot an Aurora Beam into his back. "Not again!" Scott mumbled as he fell over. "Boss!" Nat yelled as he charged at me with a Metal Claw. I used the same maneuver as on Scott and Natt fainted, too. Only Milton was standing. I gave him the same glare I gave Cameron earlier "Don't even think about it." I growled. Milton went running and I started to laugh. "Well that was fun!" When I turned back around to my new friends, they were just staring at me. "What's wrong?" I asked, a little worried. Steven stepped forward "Sakato," he said "that....was.....AWESOME!" "Yeah," Trevor said smiling "you were so FAST. That was incredible!" I turned red again. "Well, it was nothing, really." "How many times do we have to tell you," Cameron said while smiling "don't be modest!" Then I laughed. It was the first time I laughed since I came to the Long Island Base. We continued walking until we made it to the pools. "Sorry, I'm late Ms. Kesley." I said as I walked towards the large Floatzle. Ms Kesley smiled "Don't worry about it Sakato." She looked up and noticed Cameron, Steven, and Trevor. "Oh, hello Cameron." She said smiling at Him "Do you have a message for me?" He shook his y head smiling "Sorry, Ms Kesley. We just came here to watch Sakato train." Ms Kesley looked confused "Why's that?" "Well," Trevor said "Aren't friends supposed to cheer each other on?" Ms Kesley looked surprised, but then smiled "Friends, really? Oh Sakato that's wonderful!" I looked at Cameron, Trevor and Steven and smiled "Yeah, it is." I said. "Come on guys! Let's hop in!" "All right!" Trevor cried as he ran forward and jumped in. He made a huge splash! Steven and Cameron watched as Trevor and I splashed around in the pool. I heard them jump in a few moments later. I looked and saw them shivering. I dove down and popped up under them so that they were riding on my back. It was kind of heavy, but they seemed to enjoy it. "Thanks Sakato!" I heard Cameron say "Don't mention it." I said smiling under the weight. We swam around the pool pretty slow compared to my usual. After swimming for about half an hour I helped them all out of the pool. I shook myself out and ended up accidentally soaking everyone. "Oops, sorry" "No worries" Cameron smiled. "Well Sakato," said Ms Kesley "I am very happy to say that you were 2 seconds faster then you were yesterday!" I grinned "Really?" Ms Kesley nodded "Congratulations Sakato!" Cameron said smiling. "Thanks a lot guys." I laughed. "Well," Ms Kesley said "I'll expect to see you after dinner today." "No problem Ms Kesley." I said as we turned and headed out of the pool room. "so what do you want to do now?" I said as we passed Austin. Next he attacked me saying "Who are you and what did you do with Sakato!" I saw Cameron tense up. "Really Austin," I said "these are just some new friends." Austin grinned and looked down at them "Well I might as well introduce myself. I'm Austin, Sakato's roommate." Cameron extended his hand. "I'm Cameron, the messenger here." After getting introduced, Austin walked with us for awhile. "surprised Austin?" I said after a few minutes. "Yeah actually, when you first arrived at the base, you barely said a word to me at all. I'm glad you finally opened your mouth for once." I just smiled. "So what do you guys want to do now?" I ask right before the speaker said, "Sakato and Cameron, to Asula's office please." Cameron and I looked at each other before turning to our friends. "We'll see you guys later." Cameron said as He and I headed off to the office. Ms Asula was there, sitting behind her desk, and Ms Kesley stood beside her. "You wanted to see us?" I said. "Yes boys, please have a seat." Asula said "Listen it wasn't me who put electrodebombs in the pool" I quickly said. "What?" asked Ms Kesley? "Oh never mind" I blushed. "Well, seeing you talk Sakato means our plan has worked." stated Asula "Huh" Cameron and I said confused. "We made that letter to get you two together. We knew Cameron was capable of making friends with just about anyone, so we thought we should arrange a meeting with you two" We looked at each other stunned. "Why did you do that?" I asked. "Well Sakato," Ms Kesley said "you just wouldn't get out of the pool. You didn't have anyone to share a good time with, and I knew the training would put stress on you. So we thought that having a friend would help you out." I studied her a second, before smiling "Well, thank you both very much." "Yeah," Cameron said, smiling too "Sakato is a great friend. So thank you for arranging our meeting." Asula smiled "That'll be all boys, thank you." We both smiled as we left the room. "You know Cameron," I started to say "it really is great that you're my friend." He just smiled back and said "It's my pleasure. I'm really glad we met." "Couldn't agree more" Cameron looked up at me "Connor is a lucky guy." He said. This time I didn't tear up, I just smiled "And I'm lucky to have him. That's why I have to get him back. I'll do whatever it takes." "And I'm with you all the way!" Said Cameron.
